One of my most exciting projects: The Portidesk .a.k.a. The Portable Workplace.

• This project was designed by me to enable regular commuters to have a light yet solid workspace suitable for both pen and pencil as well as digital projects.

• The exterior of the desk is walnut as it is aesthetically beautiful, lightweight and durable. The inside of the Portidesk is cushioned to protect screens and drives of tablets and/or laptops and other items that need to be carried with care. The cushion contains expanded polystyrene beads, the same filling as a bean bag, so that it moulds around the given item for example a laptop and thus offers a high degree of protection.

• It can be carried like a briefcase, and opens to provide a solid surface

• Using a ratchet mechanism, the same mechanism as an old desk chair to keep it open. It also can be placed in several different angles. This means it can be used on any mode of transport, on a table, or at home.

• Substantial integrated hooks provide a way of stable working service in environments such as construction sites.

• As seen in the main picture, the Portidesk can be collapsed and carried from destination to destination.

• The honeycombed structure of the internal supports resulting in a high strength to weight ratio.

With this project I hope to show my passion as a Creative Designer.
